Retail Event and Promotion

Santander understands the importance of the branches to deliver customer service, so they are undertaking a modernisation of their existing branch network. We were asked to create an appealing promotional mechanic to celebrate the opening of their Kensington High Street branch; specifically integrating with a new overarching strategic direction: 'Driven to do better'. This was founded in the the brand's sponsorship of F1 drivers Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton.

We came up with the 'Time to Win?' promotional concept, linking the performance of the drivers to the entry mechanic for consumers. Everyone who engaged with the branch received a 'lap time' they could then enter into a bespoke terminal to see if they had won. One lucky winner got an exclusive trip to Monaco.

The branch was dressed with bespoke branding, including tyre tracks going into the branch, life-size Jenson and Lewis prints, and promotional literature outlining the key messages for the activity. Brand ambassadors were used to entice people into the branch from the street, and to help ensure that everyone who engaged with the promotion found it easy and fun.
